Consumer Rights
Farming Parts is a UK based company and complies with UK consumer law including the Distance Selling Regulations, our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel an order and return any goods that may already have been dispatched, up to 7 days from receipt. The Farming Parts returns policy allows 21 days.
VAT
Because we trade in the UK all prices on this site include VAT (Value Added Tax) at 20%. If you are shopping with us from outside the E.U. or a tax-exempt country such as the Channel Islands then this VAT does not apply. Our web site will automatically display all prices with the VAT deducted and you will be billed accordingly.
Card Payments, Security and Privacy
We accept most major credit cards and for off-line purchases will accept (£) Sterling Postal Orders, Personal Cheques, Bank Drafts and Bank transfers. Exchange rates around the world do vary all the time so payments made to Farming Parts must always be in UK pounds (£) Sterling.
We can assure you that all your information is kept safe and secure, from your on-line shopping basket to the goods arriving at your front door. A secure SSL encryption protects all your details during the shopping process and we do not pass on or use them with any third parties, companies and marketing organisations. All the details required are needed for no other reason than to fully process your order.
For remote addresses and international orders, your telephone number may be forwarded on to our couriers, to ensure receipt of your goods.
We update our stock daily and if an item is out of stock it will be displayed as such on the site. If there is a problem with availability we will contact you within 24 hours of the order being made, in which case you have a choice of waiting until it is in stock. In any case, orders are not processed unless we have the item in stock.
Responsibilities
Mountaineering, Diving and all the different outdoor sports that we equip, as well as working at height are all activities, which can be hazardous and lead to serious injury. Competent and informed persons, who understand and accept the risks involved, must only use products used in these activities. Training in the proper use of equipment, techniques and safety measures in any of these activities is the responsibility of the user, who must assume responsibility for all risks and damages, which may arise from the use of such equipment.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all technical data and instructions provided with the product by the seller, is supplied to the end user.

Work at Height Regulations
If you are purchasing for work or industrial purpose then you need to be aware of the following:
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 consolidate previous legislation on working at height and will implement European Council Directive 2001/45/EC concerning minimum safety and health requirements for the use of equipment for work at height (the Temporary Work at Height Directive or TWAHD).
The Regulations will apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. They place duties on employers, the self-employed, and any person that controls the work of others to the extent of their control (for example facilities managers or building owners who may contract others to work at height).
The Regulations will not apply to the provision of instruction or leadership in caving or climbing by way of sport, recreation, team building or similar activities.
HSE publish a simple guide to the Regulations. It will also promote the key messages with industry sectors and encourage them to review and develop their own specific guidance and advice for work at height.
